IMPACT Learning District Sponsored Protection Plan

Duncanville ISD Technology Department offers protection plans to cover district-provided student devices.

The 2026-27 protection plan MUST be purchased within 60 days of the first day of school or within 30 days of the date of enrollment.

This coverage will cover up to two(2) minor repair claims or one(1) full replacement claim per year.  In the event that a device is stolen or accidentally damaged beyond repair, the district will issue a replacement device, for which an additional plan must be purchased. Full replacement claims are limited to one per year. Please note the following references to our coverage model.

Coverage:

Protection plans cover accidental damage, loss, or theft of a Chromebook, laptop, or iPad device. This covers the device only. Intentional damage, vandalism, cases, and lost/stolen chargers are NOT included in this coverage. 

Claim Limits:

• Maximum two (2) minor repairs per year for damage/repair; OR 
• Maximum one (1) major repair per plan for full replacement benefits

Additional claims exceeding the yearly maximum may be subject to full replacement or repair costs.

Coverage Details:

• Accidental damage claim
  • $0 deductible per incident and covers damages to a device. 
  • Intentional damage, water damage, and/or vandalism are not covered. 
• Maximum of two (2) minor repairs for damage claims per year 
  • Accidental damage is defined as unintentionally breaking a component of the Chromebook, laptop, or iPad. 
• Device replacement claim
  • $0 deductible per incident and covers one incident per year. 
  • If a replacement device is issued, a new protection plan must be purchased. 
  • Covers accidental damage to a device beyond repair.
• Theft of the device
  • All theft claims require a police report to be processed and a copy returned to Campus within 72 hours of the reported theft.
• Lost device claim coverage
  • The plan holder will be responsible for 50% of the device replacement cost. If a device is lost, the plan will cover 50% of the replacement cost.
  • If a replacement device is issued, a new protection plan must be purchased.
